Pardee Hospital Foundation Announces Physician and Philanthropist of the Year
Pardee Hospital Foundation named Dr. Werner C. Brooks “Physician of the Year” and Greg Burnette “Philanthropist of the Year” at the Foundation’s Black Tie and Boots Gala held at The Horse Shoe Farm, Saturday, June 15.
The Horse Shoe Farm provided the perfect setting for Pardee Hospital Foundation’s Black Tie & Boots Gala on Saturday, June 15. The gala brought nearly 350 attendees together to celebrate Pardee Hospital’s most recent achievements and recognition of physicians and philanthropists.
Pardee Hospital Foundation 6th Annual Cornhole Tournament is in the books as an “AMAIZING” Success!!
With 100 players, both recreational teams and self proclaimed competitive “ringers”, the cornhole bags were flying and a good time was had by all, including the throng of spectators cheering the players along! At the end of the day, more than $10,000 was raised for the Pardee Sports Medicine Concussion Helmet Program for Henderson County High School Football Players through food and beverage sales, registrations and fabulous sponsors!
More than 425 men and women gathered at Blue Ridge Community College on Friday, October 19 to raise over $166,000 to help uninsured and underinsured women at Pardee Hospital with health care expenses. In addition, a group of Pardee physicians raised $7,500 and challenged those in attendance to match their contribution. To date more than $9,000 has been raised in matched donations.
