The Women’s Golf Association of the Hendersonville Country Club raised over $5,000 on August 11 for Women Helping Women at their annual 18 Hole Step Aside Scramble. This year’s fundraising event was not club wide due to COVID-19, but nevertheless garnered strong support by the Golf and Tennis Tournaments and members of the Country Club. Women Helping Women will use the proceeds from this and other donations to provide assistance and support to women in need, including the purchase of a Mobile Mammography Van. The van will be used to bring testing, diagnoses, and consultation to women at their homes, places of work, churches and community centers.

Women Helping Women was started in 1998 as a way to offer financial and emotional support to women facing various medical conditions. To date, the program has raised over $2 million for financial assistance to un- and under-insured women, as well as funding equipment, facilities, and services for women at Pardee Hospital.
